Thieves broke into Journalist Aminata Sanneh’s house, took away laptops & other valuable items

Thieves have yesterday night (early Monday morning, 25th July) broke into the house of Mrs Aminata Sanneh – Colley, a Gambian journalist cum Information officer at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The case is reported at the Bundung Police Station.

At least two laptops belongning to Aminata Sanneh and her brothers, mobile hones (Iphones and Android ) and other valuable items were all stolen by the thieves from the house located at Latrikunda in the Bundng Mauritani Ward of the Kanifing Municipality.

Abdoulie Sanneh, a younger brother to Aminata Sanneh told LTN that the incident happened at night when they were aslept. He said he was sleeping in the house with his brother Amadou but Aminata Sanneh is currently on a research work on her University studies in Guinea Bissau at the moment. 

He said the case has been reported to the police and photos of the scene were taken and submitted to the authorities for investigation.

Speaking to LTN from Bissau, Aminata Sanneh said she doesn’t know the extent of damage as she is away for research purpose. She added that her main concern is the safety of the people there  right now.
