Magistrate Peter Ado Che

The ongoing unauthorized publication case against Fatou Touray, CEO of Kerr Fatou, and Fatoumata Drammeh, widely known as Tima La Waato of Paradise Tv at the Brikama Magistrate’s Court could not proceed on Monday, 9th January 2023 due to the absence of the trial magistrate Peter Ado Che, LTN has learnt.

The two accused persons are charged with unauthorized publication in an ongoing matter at the Children’s Court in Brikama.

Our reporter visited the court this morning but was told that the trial magistrate has travelled to Basse, Upper River Region.

Today’s sitting was scheduled for the cross-examination of the complainant Samsudeen Phatey (based in the US) via virtual hearing.

This is the second time that the virtual cross-examination of Mr. Phatey is being delayed at the instance of the court, the first time being Monday, 3rd January 2023.

The case has now been adjourned to Wednesday, 11th January 2023 at 1 pm.
