29.11. 2024 – Today, we honor a distinguished figure in Gambian politics, the former and final Speaker of the National Assembly during Yahya Jammeh’s presidency, Honorable Abdoulie Bojang. His tenure was marked by robust political involvement and considerable transformations within The Gambia.

In his role as Speaker, he was pivotal in the legislative process, steering the National Assembly through difficult periods with steadfastness and fortitude. His leadership played a key role in managing the intricacies of governance at a crucial juncture in the nation’s history.

He was more than a political figure; he was a man of integrity and dedication, constantly aiming to serve his nation to the fullest. His contributions to the legislative domain and his commitment to preserving the National Assembly’s integrity will be honored and valued by many.

In this time of grief, we offer our heartfelt sympathies to his loved ones, colleagues, and all of The Gambia. Let his legacy encourage the next generation of leaders to serve with equal zeal and honor.
