The late Hon. Omar A. Jallow widely known as OJ was on Wednesday conferred with the GCRG Award by the Gambian leader HE Adama Barrow during the funeral ceremony held at the Pipeline Mosque along Kairaba Avenue in the Kanifing Municipality. The Hon. OJ was finally laid to rest.

Below is the excerpt of the statement from the State House on his GCRG Award.

“President Barrow today posthumously conferred on the late OJ Jallow, Grand Commander of the Order of the Republic of the Gambia (GCRG), the second-highest national award during the funeral rites of the late statesman.”
