The Gambian leader HE President Adama Barrow has congratulated the country’s U-20 Scorpions for their triumphant performance in Monday’s semi-final against Nigeria in the AFCON 2023 competition held in Egpyt.
The Scorpions thrashed Nigeria by 1-0, thereby reaching the finals to be played against neighbouring Senegal.
The country’s leader President Barrow joined the rest of the population to congratulate the darling Scorpions. He said: “It’s not the size that matters but the determination to win. Congratulations to our Young Scorpions for another great win”.
