Gambian ‘Intel leaker dies of stroke‘

-Moments after dismissal

Information reaching LamToro News have it that Lamin Bojang, a driver at the State Intelligence Service (SIS) who goes by the sobriquet ‘Jamrang‘ died yesterday, 8th February 2023, being the same day he was sacked from his job at the country’s intelligence agency.

The late Mr. Bojang was the driver of the SIS OC at Gamtel Amie Ndong. He was residing in Bundung in the Kanifing Municipality but was laid to rest yesterday evening at his native village of Sohm in Kombo East District, West Coast Region.

The deceased Lamin Bojang widely known as ‘Jamrang‘ has been working at the NIA now changed to SIS for almost 15 years.

According to sources, the deceased was suspected of sending audio to ‘Baitulai‘, which was later leaked, prompting the SIS to set up a task force to investigate the matter.

“The Taskforce concluded their investigation and claimed he was the one who sent the said audio to Baitulai. This is why he was fired yesterday and when he reached home, some moments later he died. He was shocked and developed a stroke. He was also laid to rest the same day in Sohm village,“ said one source.

Another intimate source confirmed the late SIS operative understandably had a fatal shock following his termination. However, SIS command could not be reached for comments after repeated efforts.
