Reports reaching LamToro News have it that ex-Lt. Col. Nuha Badjie, a member of former dictator Jammeh’s hit squad has not been arrested contrary to certain media reports following the earlier arrest of Sanna Manjang.

Neither the military nor the governments of The Gambia and Senegal confirmed his arrest. LamToro News contacted the public relations officer of the Senegalese Army Captain Sowe but he could not confirm the arrest of Badjie.

LamToro News has confirmed that Nuha Badjie is still in Guinea Bissau. “He is in fact engaged in fishing activities in Bissau to make a living for himself,” said an authority (anonymous source).

According to our source, Nuha Badjie, Sanna Manjang, Mustapha Sanneh, Modou Jarjue widely known by his alias Rambo and others were all living together in Bissau when they fled from The Gambia earlier but after some time they dispersed and each found his way out because things were expensive and they couldn’t sustain the house rent and other feeding expenses.

“It’s since that time, Nuha got involved into the fishing business because he said it was lucrative”.

Lt. Col. Nuha Badjie hailed from Luluchorr village in Foni Kansala District of the West Coast Region.

Meanwhile, another source also informed LamToro News that Solo Bojang, another wanted man is hiding in Casamance at the village of his second wife. The said second wife (name withheld) is said to be the lead vocalist of the Baatiyaaye Cultural Group.
