The death has been announced of the former Inspector General of Police Ensa Badjie widely known as Jesus, LamToro News was reliably informed.
“He died a few minutes ago at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul where he was receiving medical treatment,” said a source.
The late ex-IGP has been battling with a long illness due to severe torture meted on to him by the NIA operatives and junglers of the former regime of ex – President Yahya Jammeh.
He was IGP from 2008 to 2010. Again he was reinstated by the Barrow administration and he served as deputy Crime Management Co-ordinator (CMC) and was later redeployed to URR until his ban from the public service following a TRRC recommendation.
“Funeral arrangements will be announced later,” said a source.
