The only survivor (Haruna Jallow) among the six children who drowned at the Sare Bojo Lake on Sunday afternoon was found in a neighboring village called Sare Mansong in Jimara District, Upper River Region, LamToro News has learnt.

Confirming this information, Ousman Mballow, a teacher from Sare Bojo said when the five children drowned, the sixth victim Haruna Jallow was panicked and he ran away, leaving his clothes and shoes behind.

“He was seen in Sare Mansong, a nearby village to Sare Bojo and the villagers brought him,“ he disclosed.

He stated the four of the victims were confirmed to be students of Sare Bojo Lower Basic School.

“Haruna Jallow is now seen but he looks terrified by the incident, although he is well and fine,“ he noted.

Mr. Mballow furth disclosed that the victims and two others (8 in total) went for swimming at the lake but all the six children entered except the last two who were sitting outside and watching the others swim.
