Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Landing Bojang, the Crime Management Co-ordinator (CMC) of the Gambia Police Force (GPF) and Commissioner Lala Camara of the Banjul Region have both retired from the Gambia Police Force (GPF) effective 1st May 2024, LamToro News have learnt.
AIG Landing Bojang was on a two-year contract with the Gambia Police Force since his retirement was due two years ago. He was also promoted from the rank of Commissioner to AIG in 2019.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Lala Camara, the longest serving officer of the GPF has also retired. She was Commissioner for Banjul Region.
In another development, AIG Landing Bojang has been replaced by his deputy Commissioner Buba Sarr as Crime Management Co-ordinator of the Gambia Police Force, whilst Commissioner Lala Camara has been replaced by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Habib Sanyang. Sanyang is now head of the Banjul Region of the Gambia Police Force.
