Fifteen years after torturing Manneh and others, Manjang got handed over to the officers he once oppressed to satisfy Yahya Jammeh.
Manjang was captured last Friday by a joint security force from Senegal and The Gambia in a well-coordinated effort in Casamance, Senegal.
Lt. Col. Sanna Manjang stands accused of gross human rights violations, including torture and murders. During the country’s Truth Commission process, various victims testified of how Manjang was ruthless, including decapitating a victim and stumping on his head.
