The acting Spokesperson of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) Captain Kemo Kanuteh has confirmed that the 3 Infantry Battalion soldiers in Basse, Upper River Region (URR) collected the metal ring which crashed around Sare Gubu village in Sandu District of URR on Friday.

Captain Kanuteh said the experts will investigate the incident and GAF will take all necessary official measures. Asked if they have identified the metal objects? Captain Kanuteh said the experts are investigating and the results of the investigation will tell everything surrounding the incident.

Information reaching LamToro News have it that the said incident occurred on Friday in the villages near the border between The Gambia and Senegal.

A source in Tabanding village, Senegal, said another metal object also landed in a village which is about seven kilometers away from the Gambian border in Senegal.
