The Director of Intelligence and Investigation at the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) Lamin J. Gassama is now appointed to serve as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technical ) at the Ministry of The Interior, LamToro News has been reliably informed.
“His appointment took immediate effect,” said a source.
Mr. Gassama replaces Ms Mbayang Njie. Ms. Njie is said to be out of town. She is reported to be in India for a two-week official trip. “She is expected in Banjul soon,” said an official.
Gassama was on Thursday redeployed to the Ministry of the Interior. Whilst serving at DLEAG, Gassama was reported to have specialised in analysis and has over the years, led investigations of high profile drug trafficking cases.
He is a professional drug law enforcement officer with nearly 15 years experience. He holds a Master’s Degree in Security, Intelligence and Diplomacy from the Buckingham University.
