A soldier identified as Corporal Ebrima Jammeh of the Guards Battalion at Fajara Barracks has been called for questioning on Monday, 17th February 2025, LamToro News has learnt.
He is undergoing investigation at the Military Police in Yundum Barracks. LamToro News was reliably informed that Corporal Jammeh’s detention is in connection with a viral video he made, talking about the economic hardship in the Gambia, as well as the low income earners.
Investigations by LamToro News also revealed that the said Corporal Jammeh Ebrima is a member of the Guards Battalion, Fajara Barracks. He joined the Gambia Armed Forces as a member of Intake 29.
When contacted to shed light on the Corporal Jammeh’s arrest, the Director of Press and Public Relations of the Gambia Armed Forces Colonel Lamin K. Sanyang confirmed his arrest. He said Corporal Jammeh is called for questioning by the Military Police at Yundum Barracks.
