Court Orders Fatou Touray & ‘Tima La Waato’ To Pay D10,000 Cost For Failing To Appear In Court

Magistrate Fatoumata Darboe of the Children’s Court in Brikama has on Wednesday, 14th August 2024 ordered Fatou Touray, CEO of Kerr Fatou Media and Fatoumata Drammeh widely known as ‘Tima La Waato’ (name of her Tv Show) of Paradise Tv to pay an amount of D10,000 as cost for not showing up in court.

The two (media personalities) accused persons are charged with unauthorised publication in an ongoing matter at the Children’s Court in Brikama.

When the case called last Wednesday, both accused persons and their lawyers did not appear.

The Magistrate therefore gave an Order for the two accused persons to pay D10,000 cost for failing to appear in court. She further ruled that the bail of the accused persons can be revoked if they fail to appear in the next adjourned date.

Lawyer Malick H.B Jallow appeared as the Private Prosecutor representing Samsudeen Phatey. The case was adjourned to 19th September 2024.
