Ex-Brigadier General Bora Colley, an alleged Jungler and one-time Commander of the Military Camp in Kanilai is detained at the Yundum Military Barracks, LamToro News has learnt.

The military general who was also appointed as Director General of the Gambia Prisons Services sometime in 2012 is reported to have been hiding in Senegal and Guinea Bissau since the change of government in 2017 to date.

“He came back to the Gambia and the Military Intelligence was hinted about his presence. There was a surveillance around his compound located in the Greater Banjul Area and he surrendered himself to the Military at Yundum Barracks since yesterday night,” a source told LamToro News.

When contacted to shed light on the detention of General Bora Colley, the Director of Press and Public Relations of the Gambia Armed Forces Colonel Lamin K. Sanyang confirmed his detention at the Yundum Barracks.

It would be recalled that Brigadier General Colley and many other junglers were accused of human rights violations, torture, among others. His name and several others were called out during the Gambia Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) proceedings.
