The high court in Brikama has made a declaration that Melville’s fundamental human rights to property has been violated. Thus, an order that the said Jewelleries must be returned immediately within 14 days, failure of which the respondents must pay the sum of $50,000 to Melville. The court made a further award of D250,000 dalasis as compensation for violating the rights of Melville, further award of D200,000 for Legal Fees and a final award of D50,000 as cost.
