OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Office of Inspector General of Police deeply regrets to announce the untimely sudden death of Commissioner Siaka Joof, Commissioner Licensing Unit. This sad news occurred in the early hours of 1st October 2023, at Kanifing General Hospital.
This sad news is extended to The Commander-in-Chief of The Gambia Armed Forces, The President of The Republic of The Gambia, H.E Adama Barrow, The Vice President, H.E Muhammed BS Jallow, Ministry of Interior, Cabinet Ministers, Security Chiefs, Members of Gambia Police Force, Friends, and Family.
The burial will take place at Bakoteh, 5 pm today.
May Allah grant Commissioner Siaka Joof eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaws.
BRIEF BACKGROUND OF COMMISSIONER SIAKA JOOF
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Siaka Joof, Commissioner for Licensing Unit of The Gambia Police Force, was born in Bakoteh. He was enlisted in The Gambia Police Force in 1982.
Throughout his illustrious career, DCP Joof held various positions within the Gambia Police Force, including Station Officer and Chief of Operations, until his appointment as Commissioner of the Licensing Unit.
Commissioner Siaka Joof’s unwavering commitment and dedication to serving our beloved nation, The Gambia, were truly remarkable.
