Seneweb is reporting the sacking of Mame Boye Diao from his position as Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations, which he has held since February 2023. This decision was taken by the Head of State, Macky Sall, by decree number 2023-1916 of 12 September 2023.
This announcement comes at a time when the mayor of Kolda announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday morning.
Mr Diao has launched a dissident candidacy for Benno Bokk Yakaar, whose official candidate is Prime Minister Amadou Bâ.
