President Barrow on Wednesday received the outgoing British High Commissioner to The Gambia, H.E David Belgrove OBE at the State House in Banjul.
The British High Commissioner bade President Barrow farewell after completing his tour of duty in The Gambia.
H.E Belgrove thanked President Barrow and the Gambian people for the warm hospitality during his time in The Gambia.
He also congratulated the President and his government for the progress in consolidating democracy in the Gambia, the Constitutional reform, and the encouraging implementation of most TRRC recommendations.
Touching on the work he has been doing with the Gambia government, H.E Belgrove said the friendly cooperation between the two counties will continue with his predecessor and that his government will continue to support the expansion of Tourism, Agriculture and Industry, especially with the improved infrastructure development.
The High Commissioner was accompanied to the Presidency by Mr Martin Norman DHD, Ms Jainaba Faye, Political Adviser, and Mr Lang Yabou, Permanent Secretary- MoFA.
