Police Commissioner has been redeployed to the Police headquarters in Banjul as the new Commander in charge of Policy and Planning, LTN has learnt.
This development came following his redeployment from Mansakonko, Lower River Region during President Barrow’s visit to the provinces where he launched and inaugurated some projects.
President Barrow is not happy with Commissioner Banda’s conduct in LRR. He is reportedly being accused of engaging in political interference, professional misconduct, among others. President Barrow refused to take Banda’s account of events and ordered his immediate replacement in LRR.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ken Mendy had since May 7, replaced Banda as Commissioner in LRR.
