Momodou MBO Cham, a former director general of the Gambia Tourism Board on Friday passed away at the country’s main referral hospital Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) in Banjul, LamToro News has learnt.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday at his native home of Sukuta, Kombo North District in the West Coast Region.
The late MBO Cham served as a former director of Tourism from 1997 to 2001. He was appointed as director general of the Gambia Tourism Board in December 2009, replacing Fatou Beyai Raji.
Mrs Beyai Raji was also acting DG of the Gambia Tourism Board in the same year (2009) following the removal of Mrs Fatou Mass Jobe.
