The US Embassy in Banjul has released a memo to alert its citizens of the peaceful anti-corruption procession to be organised by the UDP on Friday, 10th March 2023 in Banjul, LTN has learnt.
“Event: A demonstration organized by the United Democratic Party is expected to take place tomorrow, 10th March 2023, beginning around 11 am. The protest will start at Bond Road Junction (opposite Jah Oil)and end at the first gate of the National Assembly. The rally will likely cause severe traffic congestion. Even peaceful rallies can escalate to violence. U.S. government employees have been advised to avoid the area.” the memo indicates.
