Musa Manneh, a businessman residing in Bundung on Monday, 21st November 2022 testified in the case of Abdoulie Ndow commonly known as Pap Ndow, before Magistrate Mben Faal of the Kanifing Magistrate’s Court.
Mr. Manneh told the court that he knew the accused person Pap Ndow and has witnessed several occasions where the plaintiff was giving money to the accused Pap Ndow to buy building materials and household items for her. He also mentioned the different amounts given to the accused in his presence on several occasions.
Mr. Manneh revealed that he was present at the Banjulinding Police Station sometime early this year where Pap Ndow signed a statement (agreement) indicating his failure to buy household items and building materials for the plaintiff from the money he received. He further disclosed the communication and financial interactions he witnessed between the plaintiff and the accused and how it all transpired.
The case continues on 6th December 2022.
Readers would recall that the accused Pap Ndow is being charged with obtaining money by false pretense and with intent to defraud, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia.
The victim has claimed that the accused has defrauded her with over D2M, the money she had planned to use for the purchase of building materials and household items for her new house.
