Kabirou Mbodje, the CEO of Wari money transfer service has been charged with raping three women in the same evening. Senegal’s leading news site reports that the incident is said to have happened in France.
According to Seneweb, the information from the French website Le Parisien, referring to the indictment for rape of the CEO of the money transfer platform called Wari, Kabirou Mbodje, is also confirmed by Agence France Presse (AFP).
Despite disputing the facts, the Senegalese businessman was placed under judicial supervision on 13 October 2022 for raping four women, three of whom were reported to have been raped in the same evening and one earlier this year in Paris.
“My client, whose identity I will not confirm, denies in the strongest possible terms the accusations made against him. He is perfectly serene. The investigation will shed light on the facts and the reality of this case,” Philippe Zeller, the suspect’s lawyer, told AFP.
Dakaractu also revealed that in March 2017, the Franco-Senegalese businessman had a similar case (rape) which involved and his niece in Dakar. “The case was reported to have been settled out of court.“
It should be recalled that the accused, Kabirou Mbodje, was sentenced to two years in prison, including six months in prison, by the criminal court of Dakar for “misuse of social assets” after a legal battle between him and former collaborators.
