IGP promotes 158 senior officers

THE OFFICE OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE PROMOTES 158 POLICE OFFICERS TO SENIOR POLICE RANKS.

The Gambia Police Force, Banjul – Effective 1st August 2022, and having been approved by the Ministry of Public Service, Administrative Reform, Policy Coordination and Delivery, the office of the Inspector General of Police is pleased to inform the general public that it has officially published the list of one hundred and fifty-eight ( 158 ) police officers who have been promoted to various senior police ranks.

Accordingly, the promoted officers shall shoulder the ranks of Commissioners of Police, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Chief Superintendent, Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents, and Assistant Superintendents of police, respectively.

This massive promotion from the office of the Inspector General of Police is in line with the new strategic plans of The Gambia Police Force geared towards building capacities of officers and promoting deserving personalities, following due process and procedure.

While the office of The IGP congratulates the newly promoted officers, he enjoins them to continue serving the nation with utmost dedication and commitment and uphold democratic values that are in tandem with internationally recognized standards and best practices.
