The national agency responsible for the promotion and facilitation of private sector investments into The Gambia has on Thursday welcomed The Nigerian High Commissioner to the Gambia His Excellency Mohammed Manu.

Receiving the delegation, the CEO of The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) – Ousainou Senghore, welcomed the Nigerian delegation and hailed the new mutual partnership envisaged to promote bilateral trade and investment between the two countries. The meeting discussed plans to stage a proposed international trade fair in early October this year aiming to promote the sub-regional exhibition of locally made products and services of both countries.

The Agency (GIEPA)’s role with its local partners will be, coordinating and facilitating the week-long exhibition of subregional products and services with its Nigerian counterparts – The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
