The death has been announced of Hon. Omar Sey, former minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of The Gambia.
The late Hon. Sey was appointed as Health minister in 2013, a position he held until January 2017. Before his ministerial appointment, Mr Sey was Chief Executive Officer of the AFPRC General Hospital (2004 – 2009) and from October 2009 to 2011/12 he was the Deputy Permanent Secretary Technical, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
