The death has been announced of Imam Alioune Badara Ndao of Senegal.
According to news monitored on Senegalese media, Imam Ndao died at the FANN hospital (l’hôpital FANN ) in Dakar on early Tuesday morning after a short illness.
The late Imam was at one time arrested and jailed on suspicion of his alleged link with people who were accused of participating in terrorism activities. .
