The spokesperson of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), Lt. Col. Lamin K. Sanyang, has confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the cause of the fire incident that occurred at the Joint Officers Mess on Wednesday in Kotu.
When contacted by LTN, PRO Sanyang confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident but some items were destroyed before the Fire and Rescue Service officers could put off the fire.
“As of now, the cause of the fire incident is not yet known but investigations are ongoing,“ he told LTN on Thursday afternoon.
