Gambian Diplomat Mr. Suntou Touray has been appointed to serve as Deputy Head of Mission at the Gambia High Commission in The UK, LTN has learnt.
He has now officially replaced Mr. Alieu Njie, another seasoned diplomat.
Mr. Touray, a former Counsellor at the Gambia High Commission in London, has been described by many as a committed and hardworking diplomat and has proven beyond doubt his abilities in the execution of his duties.
Recently (on 5th August), the Gambian High Commission announced that the new High Commissioner HE. Mrs. Fatou Bom Bensouda has resumed official duties.
“Charge D’Affaires Mr. Suntou Touray has handed over to her to continue serving the interest of Gambians in U.K. and beyond. Welcome to London Your Excellency,“ the statement from the High Commission indicated.
High Commissioner Bensouda is also accredited to seven other countries.
