UDP Condolence Message
The United Democratic Party is deeply saddened to learn of the tragic motor vehicle accident involving the personnel of the State Guard, part of the Presidential Convoy.
On behalf the National Executive Committee, the Central Committee and on my own behalf we express our deepest condolences for the great loss of young Gambian lives and pray for a speedy recovery for the hospitalised.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Chief of Defence Staff, H.E President of the Republic and to all Gambians. We pray that all those who mourn are comforted by almighty Allah, the most merciful, and the beneficent.
The deaths of young people in the service of their nation are particularly harrowing because we believe they have their whole lives ahead of them full of infinite possibilities. Alas that is not be.
At this very difficult time for the bereaved families our thoughts and prayers are with their relatives and their friends. May they be granted the fortitude to bear this great loss.
May Allah grant their souls and the souls of all the dearly departed Al Jannatul Firdawsi. Ameen
