President Barrow’s convoy had an accident, leaving 4 soldiers dead, One in critical condition

The convoy of the president of the Republic, HE Adama Barrow had an accident this afternoon while on his way to Mankamang Kunda for his official annual leave.

Sources told LTN that 4 State Guard soldiers of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) lost their lives in the accident.

The accident, according to sources happened at Ndemban in Foni, West Coast Region.

“The back-up vehicle of HE with registration number BJL 3036Q was involved in the accident but the President had already left before the accident. The deceased are our soldiers, not the foreign soldiers,“ said another source.

“One soldier is currently in a critical condition and the dead bodies are currently at the Sulayman Junkung General Hospital in Bwiam,“ said one of the authorities.
