ECOWAS organizes a training workshop on security and governance reform in collaboration with the EU, German Cooperation and the African Security Sector Network

PRESS RELEASE: Monrovia, Liberia, August 9, 2022 ECOWAS, in collaboration with the European Union, German Cooperation and the African Security Sector Network, is organizing a training workshop on security and governance reform.

The training, scheduled from August 9 to 12, 2022 in Monrovia, Liberia, aims to build the capacities of stakeholders and institutions involved in security and surveillance-related areas within Member States s of the ECOWAS.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Mrs. Josephine Nkrumah, Resident Representative of the Chairman of the ECOWA Commission in Liberia, who spoke on the relevance of the workshop, which comes at a critical time when the Liberia reflects on important issues of improvement and maintaining security sector reforms.

Attending the occasion were the Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, the Head of the European Delegation to Liberia and the Ambassador of Germany, among other key state and non-state stakeholders of the security sector.
