The second edition of the Municipal Set-Settal organised by the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) under the leadership of the Lord Mayor Ahmed Talib Bensouda has been postponed until, Sunday, 7th August 2022, LTN has learnt.
The Set-Setal was supposed to be held today, 31st July 2022 but it has been canceled due to heavy rainfall.
LTN contacted Mayor Talib Bensouda to confirm some invitations extended to the regional security chiefs to participate in the exercise and he confirmed the move. Mayor Bensouda also said that the Set-Settal exercise has been postponed until 7th August 2022.
He said: “According to the Weather Forecast issued by the Department of Water Resources, heavy rain might continue until Monday, 1st August 2022. In the event of such circumstances, I suggested that the Second Edition of the Municipal Set-Settal be rescheduled to Sunday, 7th August 2022.”
