President Umaro Cissokho Embalo of Guinea Bissau has been elected as the new Chairman of Ecowas for the next one year. President Embalo succeeded Ghana’s president Nana Akuffo Addo, who held the position for two years. He was elected at the 61st Ordinary session and summit of the Ecowas leaders in Ghana.
