President Macky Sall of Senegal has sacked his Health Minister Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr effective, 26th May 2022. He is replaced by Dr. Marie Khemesse Ndiaye, the director-general of Public Health, a statement from Senegal’s Presidency stated.
Mr. Sarr’s sacking came following a series of problems encountered in his ministry involving loss of lives, recent among them being the fire outbreak at the Mam Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh Hospital in Tivavoune, Senegal, where 11 babies died yesterday.
