Gambia’s Police Chief Begins Nationwide Tour Of Security Installations

IGP Sanyang inspects a guard of honour at Barra Police Station

The Inspector General of Police, Abdoulie Sanyang with a high power delegation from the Police Headquarters, this morning crossed to the North Bank Region, where the country’s Police chief is expected to begin his countrywide tour of Security Installations, including Police stations, Posts, Military and border posts across the country.

However, the IGP will continue to the CRR, URR, LRR and finally to the West Coast and the Greater Banjul Area.

The aim of the tour is to enable the office of the IGP to access first-hand information on the welfare and working conditions of personnel under his command, as well as interact with other state security units and also members of the community. The tour is also expected to create an opportunity to further strengthen community-police relations, which remains a top priority of the police command.
