Mr Amadou Tambedou has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Gambia Association for Local Government Authorities (GALGA).

According to a publication on GALGA’s Facebook page Saturday morning, Mr Tambedou’s appointment was confirmed on Friday.

“Tambedou joined the Association as Senior Program Officer overseeing the office of SG, following the retirement of the former SG and the Senior Program Officer. He will now be leading the affairs of the Association through the transformation process that commenced in 2020.

The GALGA Secretariat on behalf of the Local Government Authorities congratulates Mr Tambedou and hopes that his coming will move GALGA towards achieving the desired goals of local government decentralisation and development in The Gambia,“ the statement reads.
